"account": "On Monday, the military's media wing reported that an army major was killed and four terrorists were eliminated during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed that security forces carried out a series of operations in Shadi Kaur and Pasni in Gwadar, as well as Jattakabad in Kalat district, targeting hideouts of the Fitna al Hindustan group, which Pakistan has labeled as a terrorist organization for its alleged ties to India. In the first operation on October 18, Major Wajahat Waheed, a 34-year-old resident of Lahore, led the IBO in Jattakabad, resulting in the deaths of four terrorists and the seizure of a significant weapons cache. However, Major Waheed himself perished in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack. Following this, the ISPR announced that security forces conducted further clearance operations in the Shadi Kaur and Pasni areas of Gwadar, where Major Waheed was martyred. The statement emphasized that counter-terrorism efforts, under the \"Azm-e-Istehkam\" vision approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue unabated. ISPR reiterated the commitment of security forces and law enforcement agencies to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country. In the preceding days, security forces reportedly killed eight \"India-sponsored\" terrorists during an IBO in Quetta, Nushki, and Khuzdar districts, and five terrorists during an IBO in Washuk. The Balochistan government reported the arrest of six terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), two female suicide bombers, and two commanders of a banned organization across the province. As of now, around 90 arrested terrorists are being held for investigations and legal proceedings. The number of terrorist attacks in Balochistan rose by seven percent from 83 in July to 89 in August, according to data from the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS). Balochistan has been acknowledged as the province \"most affected\" by terrorism.",
