"account": "Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a summit in October with US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping, according to the Wall Street Journal. The summit would aim to end the four-year-long conflict in Ukraine, with benefits for Moscow, the report said. The suggestion came in a telephone call between Putin and Trump on October 9, which also led to a deal between the two nations to purchase Russian diesel. The White House has not responded to a request for comment, and the Kremlin could not be reached outside business hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed to the Journal that discussions were ongoing about a potential meeting, but there is no clear understanding of the meeting's specifics or agenda. Trump has not agreed to the summit yet, but he may be receptive to the idea, according to a senior US official. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has criticized the diesel deal and the potential waiver of sanctions, warning it would embolden Putin and prolong the war.",
