"account": "The Oklahoma City Thunder have become a force to be reckoned with in the NBA due to their unparalleled depth. Since their 2025 championship victory, the team's ability to consistently outperform opponents has drawn comparisons to legendary squads like the 1990s Chicago Bulls and the 2010s Golden State Warriors. In an interview on The Old Man and the Three NBA podcast, Thunder player Jalen Williams coined the term \"Thunder Theory\" to describe the team's remarkable development system.\n\nWilliams highlighted the exceptional talent within the Thunder, particularly mentioning recent contributors Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain. Mitchell, who went from being a two-way rookie to scoring 14 points in his second season, and McCain, who transitioned from G League to dropping 20-point games in the 2026 Western Conference Finals, exemplify the team's ability to extract maximum potential from their players. Despite the team not boasting high draft capital picks, with only Chet Holmgren being a top-five selection, the Thunder players have consistently outperformed their draft positions.\n\nWilliams expressed optimism about the term \"Thunder Theory\" gaining traction, as it encapsulates the franchise's unique approach to roster development. The team's success has left the rest of the league feeling doubtful about their chances of winning, recognizing that the Thunder are a formidable opponent with a deep bench of skilled players.",
