"account": "US President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday ahead of Israel's crucial parliamentary election on October 27. The endorsement aimed to bolster Netanyahu's campaign to secure another term in office. In a video released by his Likud party, Netanyahu claimed that together with Trump, they had \"crushed Iran\" and pledged to continue working with the US president to eliminate the Iranian threat in the next two years, or sooner.\n\nThe endorsement came less than two weeks before Israel's first vote since the October 7 Hamas-led attack, which opposition politicians have accused Netanyahu of personal responsibility for due to alleged disregard for warnings. Trump and Netanyahu, who polls indicate are in a tight race, have collaborated closely on Israel's military operations against Iran and other fronts, which could benefit Netanyahu's re-election prospects.\n\nNetanyahu praised Trump on his Truth Social platform, referring to him as a \"Partner\" the United States demands from Israel. He expressed gratitude for the support, stating that together they would complete the mission. Netanyahu also thanked Trump during his speech to voters, emphasizing their shared accomplishments and the remaining mission to complete.\n\nIran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, responded to the endorsement, warning Netanyahu of driving the US into another war. He questioned Netanyahu's willingness to repeat past actions that allegedly strengthened Iran. The endorsement came amid strained relations between the US and Israel, with differing views on Iran and the handling of the October 7 attack.",
