"summary": "President Bola Tinubu has cautioned political aspirants in Ekiti State against launching premature succession campaigns for the 2030 elections. According to Ripples Nigeria, the President warned that early declarations of intent to succeed Governor Biodun Oyebanji could distract the governor and undermine effective governance. Speaking at a special thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the Anglican Cathedral of Emmanuel in Ado Ekiti, Tinubu urged stakeholders to prioritize the collective interests of the state over individual ambitions.\n\nThe President was represented by Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who congratulated Oyebanji on completing his first term and encouraged an inclusive leadership approach. Punch Nigeria noted that the President cautioned hopefuls against distracting the governor with early declarations for the 2030 race.\n\nThe warning followed the swearing-in of Governor Oyebanji and Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye for a second term on Friday at the Ekitiparapo Pavilion. Following initial infrastructure investments, Oyebanji has pledged to shift focus toward economic prosperity, job creation, and industrialization.",
