"summary": "Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson of Ghana emphasized that the country's economic recovery should go beyond mere stability and translate into tangible benefits for the people, such as decent jobs, higher incomes, and a stronger productive economy. During a recent engagement at the University of Ghana, Forson stated that stabilisation was merely a necessary step on the path to a new economic vision, which aims to expand production, attract investment, and create opportunities that improve livelihoods. He highlighted the importance of building on the progress made in restoring economic confidence, but stressed that recovery alone is insufficient. Forson outlined a vision of a Ghana that produces more of what it consumes, adds value to its agricultural and mineral resources, and creates decent jobs at scale. He also emphasized the role of public investment in supporting private enterprise, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the benefits of economic recovery reach the Ghanaian people who sacrificed to achieve stability.",
