"account": "In a series of police operations, five suspects were arrested in Delta State, leading to the recovery of firearms and other evidence. The arrests were made in Ughelli North and Ika South Local Government Areas. CP Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed the details in a statement to journalists. On October 16, CP-SAT unit operatives raided Ujode Community in Ughelli North on intelligence gathered about an alleged armed robbery syndicate. They apprehended 29-year-old Thankgod Ejakpomewhe and seized a locally made long gun and live cartridges. The other suspects managed to flee during the operation, but efforts are underway to locate and apprehend them. In a separate raid on October 15, four suspects were arrested in Ubuluku, Ika South. The suspects, Okwunzuwa Rubben, John Onyeka, Uzoma Ifeyinwa, and Osas Atoe, were taken into custody after a raid on a suspected criminal hideout. The police recovered a double-barrelled pump-action gun, a laptop, six mobile phones, a camouflage cap and jacket, and five rounds of live cartridges. Investigations into the two operations continue, with the aim of determining the suspects' involvement in criminal activities and identifying any remaining accomplices. Commissioner of Police Samuel Erale praised the officers' diligence and affirmed the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks and curbing firearm circulation. He cautioned criminals to stop their activities or face severe consequences, urging residents to provide timely information to aid crime prevention and suspect apprehension.",
