"summary": "The Diocese of Awka, within the Anglican Communion, has rejected the suspension of its bishop, Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, for six months, and threatened to withdraw from the Church of Nigeria if its demands are not met. The decision was announced following an emergency meeting of the Diocesan Board, which rejected the Primate's directive ordering Ibezim to undergo compulsory leave and the appointment of a replacement bishop. The board cited ongoing legal proceedings involving Ibezim, the EFCC, the Inspector-General of Police, and other parties, arguing that the Primate's decisions were made while these cases were pending, making them invalid.",
