"summary": "US President Donald Trump has announced a \"complete and total endorsement\" of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu via Truth Social. Describing Netanyahu as a \"Great Warrior Prime Minister,\" Trump commended his role in the war against Iran. Trump stated that if any leader other than Netanyahu is elected, the United States would have to handle the conflict with Iran alone, a task he said he is not inclined to do. Netanyahu responded on X, thanking the US leader for his support and stating that together they will \"complete the mission.\"\n\nThe endorsement comes ahead of Israel's parliamentary elections on October 27. According to DW English (Top Stories) and DW News, opinion polls suggest neither Netanyahu nor the opposition may secure the 61 seats required to form a coalition. The National Post reports that Netanyahu is in a close race to retain leadership as tensions from the conflict in Gaza, the West Bank, and the war with Iran test his popularity.\n\nAl-Monitor reports that Netanyahu used a Likud party video to tout his close relationship with Trump, claiming the two have \"crushed Iran.\" In response to the endorsement, The Times of Israel notes that Eisenkot and Bennett stated that only Israeli voters will decide the election.",
