"account": "Renowned Nigerian actor Jide Kosoko expressed his desire to live despite battling diabetes for three decades. In an interview on the Africa A-List podcast, the actor recounted his intentional efforts to manage his health since his diagnosis in 1996. Kosoko addressed criticism regarding his presence at social events while a colleague was unwell, stating that he too faced health issues. He encouraged his peers to prioritize their well-being and undergo regular medical examinations. \"They said someone is sick and Jide Kosoko still went to parties. Why shouldn’t I attend a party? I've been diabetic since 1996 till date, and I’ve continued to maintain myself because I don’t want to die at all,\" he emphasized.\n\nRecently, Kosoko underwent a colonoscopy test, a procedure aimed at examining every part of his body for potential signs of cancer. During the procedure, he was put under anesthesia, and he feared for his life.",
