"account": "In an operation against \"highly dangerous criminal elements\" in Egypt, police killed five gangsters during a raid that netted over 250kg of drugs and weapons valued at $3 million. The Interior Ministry reported the haul included 42,000 tablets, worth 155 million Egyptian pounds ($2.9 million), and 76 parts of weapons. The five killed had previously been sentenced to prison for crimes such as murder, attempted murder, drug trafficking, armed robbery, and firearms offenses. The raid occurred in three locations and resulted in the arrest of additional suspects. Investigations had uncovered drug smuggling operations across various parts of Egypt. The seized drugs, their specific type unspecified, are believed to include Captagon, a highly addictive methamphetamine that Egypt has sought to combat. Last month, Egyptian TV presenter Sarah Khalifa and 11 others were sentenced to death for involvement in an organized criminal group involved in manufacturing and trafficking synthetic drugs. The death penalty is imposed for serious offenses like drug trafficking in Egypt, though executions must go through further judicial and legal procedures.",
