"summary": "US President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday ahead of Israel's parliamentary election on October 27. In a post on Truth Social, Trump described Netanyahu as a \"Great Warrior Prime Minister\" and a \"Strong, Brave, and Brilliant\" leader who has faced tremendous opposition. Trump stated that Netanyahu is the kind of partner the United States demands of Israel and offered his \"Complete and Total Endorsement\" for the upcoming re-election race.\n\nThe Jerusalem Post reports that Trump warned the United States would have to confront Iran without Israel's support if any leader other than Netanyahu were elected. He suggested that if Israel chooses a different leader, America would have to do the work of countering the Iranian threat itself, a task he said he is not inclined to do.\n\nBenjamin Netanyahu responded to the endorsement on his X account, thanking Trump for his \"tremendous support\" and for their joint work, stating that they will complete the mission together. According to SABC News, the October 27 election is Israel's first vote since the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.",
