"summary": "US President Donald Trump offered his \"complete and total endorsement\" of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday via a post on Truth Social. Trump described Netanyahu as a \"Great Warrior Prime Minister\" and a partner in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating that Netanyahu has been \"Strong, Brave, and Brilliant\" despite facing opposition from within Israel. According to SABC News, Netanyahu responded to the endorsement on social media by thanking Trump for his support and joint work.\n\nThe endorsement comes nine days before Israel's parliamentary election scheduled for October 27, which will be the country's first national election since the 2023 Hamas attack. Times of India reports that Trump suggested a change in leadership to anyone other than Netanyahu could mean the United States would have to confront Tehran itself.\n\nIn the lead-up to the polls, some members of Israel's Arab minority, which accounts for approximately 21 percent of the population, are seeking to mobilize voters. The New Straits Times reports that some individuals, such as pharmacist Said Kabat, are voting for the first time to prevent the return of a right-wing government and the continued influence of far-right ministers.",
