"summary": "US President Donald Trump endorsed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday via a Truth Social post, providing what he called a \"complete and total endorsement\" ahead of Israel's parliamentary elections on October 27. Trump described Netanyahu as a \"strong, brave, and brilliant\" leader and a \"great warrior\" who has been a partner in peace while combating the Islamic Republic of Iran.\n\nAccording to the Jerusalem Post, Trump suggested that if any leader other than Netanyahu is elected, the United States would be forced to confront Iran without Israel's support. Netanyahu responded to the endorsement on X, thanking Trump for his \"tremendous support\" and noting their work together to \"complete the mission.\"\n\nSABC News reports that this election is Israel's first vote since the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Axios notes that Trump's endorsement comes nine days before the vote and at a time when most polls show Netanyahu's coalition falling short of the 61 seats required to form a government.",
