"summary": "US President Donald Trump blamed immigration for the recent unrest in France, accusing immigrants of contributing to the country's decline and urging French authorities to close their borders and take control. According to the Jerusalem Post, Trump made these remarks in a Truth Social post following weeks of protests regarding rising living costs and deteriorating public services that escalated into violence.\n\nThe unrest resulted in widespread looting of hundreds of shops and significant property damage across several cities, including Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nice, and Strasbourg. Reports from Dawn and The Times of Israel indicate that approximately 1,800 people were arrested, while a historic town hall was torched and a synagogue in Paris was vandalized. In Limoges, a fire caused the spire of a 143-year-old city hall to collapse, and in Marseille, masked individuals vandalized the city hall. Additionally, the Jerusalem Post noted that a tourist office was set on fire in Lyon.\n\nThe violence has caused significant casualties and injuries, with Dawn reporting one death during a main march in Paris and The Times of Israel stating that some 500 emergency personnel were injured. Paris deputy mayor Lamia El Aaraje described the capital's experience as a level of violence not seen before. French President Emmanuel Macron was scheduled to address the nation Sunday evening following meetings with ministers.",
