"summary": "In a dramatic rescue operation in Qwaqwa, Free State, police and firefighters successfully saved a young man in his twenties who had jumped from the Namahadi River bridge and fell into the river. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when the Phuthaditjhaba Community Service Centre received a report about the man's disappearance. A joint effort between the Phuthaditjhaba Police Rescue and Diving Unit, Tactical Response Team members, off-duty police officers, and the Maluti-a-Phofung Municipality Fire and Rescue Service led to the man's safe retrieval from the water. Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring revealed that the rescuers found the man motionless upon reaching the riverbank, and he was subsequently transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The man reportedly mentioned hearing voices before the incident. Free State Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thabang Lesia commended the emergency teams for their swift response and urged families to be vigilant for loved ones experiencing emotional or psychological distress, especially during Mental Health Awareness Month.",
