"account": "On October 18, Russian drone attacks across Ukraine resulted in at least 10 civilian deaths and 73 injuries, according to regional authorities. The attacks featured a mix of Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Shahed drones, and various loitering munitions. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 152 of the 180 Shahed drones launched, including 16 jet-powered variants.\n\nThree western Ukrainian provinces—Volyn, Ternopil, and Odesa—were targeted in the early hours of the day. In Volyn, a fire broke out at an industrial facility in Manevychi after Russian drones attacked the site, though no casualties were reported. Ternopil experienced power outages following an attack on an energy infrastructure facility, while Russian forces struck a residential building in Odesa, injuring two people, including a 14-year-old girl.\n\nRussian strikes also occurred in Donetsk, Rivne, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv Oblasts, causing fires, power outages, and injuries. In total, Russian forces launched 10 missiles in Zaporizhzhia and conducted 808 strikes across 53 settlements in the past 24 hours, targeting critical, social, and residential infrastructure.",
