"account": "Benalmadena’s ice rink is set to reopen for a special season, offering a night of family fun and charity at a modest cost. The Palacio de Deportes will host skating, children's entertainment, and figure skating exhibitions, all for just €3 per person, including skate hire. The event kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and performance at 5:45 PM, followed by the main festivities starting at 6 PM. Additional activities include face painting, raffles, and a visit from Frosty, the penguin mascot, ensuring a full evening of enjoyment for children until 9:45 PM.\n\nReturning skaters will resume their practice on the ice after a summer break, with the rink officially reopening on October 23, 2026. The event aims to support a day centre for local people with disabilities, a cause close to the heart of Benalmadena’s association, ABAD. The new centre, described as the most ambitious project yet, will offer more than 20 specialist places for those with severe disabilities, along with adapted facilities, a dining service, and transport tailored to users' needs.\n\nWhile the centre provides a much-needed service, ABAD notes that Benalmadena currently lacks a day centre for individuals with severe disabilities, forcing some residents to travel to other towns for care or go without support. The planned respite care would offer temporary assistance during afternoons and weekends, allowing caregivers time to rest, work, or manage other responsibilities. For those unable to attend the celebration, there's a \"Fila 0\" donation option to contribute to the cause, allowing supporters to help even without purchasing a ticket or skating.",
