"summary": "Perak has announced the closure of all hiking trails and recreational activities in permanent forest reserves from November 2 to January 17 due to the approaching monsoon season. The decision, made by Perak Forestry director Datuk Mohd Basri Abdul Manaf, takes into account the current risk assessments and the weather forecasts issued by MetMalaysia. The directive, which has been shared with relevant authorities, prohibits activities such as jungle trekking, four-wheel driving, and cycling. However, the Hiking Trail Conservation Programme will continue during this period, running from November 21 to December 26 in several districts including Kuala Kangsar, Larut, Matang, and Selama Kinta.",
