"account": "As the cryptocurrency market matures, many altcoins find themselves facing a reckoning. Among the established altcoins, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Shiba Inu all have different investment theses, but only a few show genuine use cases. According to CoinGecko research, 53% of the 300 tokens tracked from 2021 to mid-2025 have already failed. This article evaluates each altcoin's thesis and compares it to Bitcoin as the benchmark. Bitcoin's scarcity and limited supply have attracted investors for years, making it a core component of a well-diversified crypto portfolio. Ethereum and Solana, with their smart contract capabilities and growing DeFi applications, have strong theses and substantial fee intake, supporting their investment potential. However, other altcoins like Cardano, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu fail to demonstrate a clear use case or investment thesis, making them less attractive for potential investors.",
