"account": "A deadly incident with a subsequent fire has claimed lives and caused injuries at Canada's largest military base, Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, located in Alberta's east-central region. Defence Minister David McGuinty disclosed the tragic event on Saturday, mentioning that fatalities and injuries have occurred, though the specific numbers remain undisclosed. The base, situated approximately 130 miles east of Edmonton, is currently experiencing a major fire that continues to burn as of Saturday evening. McGuinty noted that this incident is unprecedented in recent memory, prompting the Canadian military and Royal Canadian Mounted Police to launch an investigation. Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed Canada's solidarity with Alberta's Government and local authorities in managing the situation. As of 2021, CFB Wainwright was home to 1,310 military and civilian personnel, while the nearby town of Wainwright, with a population of around 6,600, remains in close proximity to the base. The fire's proximity to the town led to a New Spain fire force evacuation of 800 residents, though no evacuation orders have been issued yet. Chief of Canada's Defense Staff, General Jennie Carignan, stressed the priority of the Canadian forces to prioritize the welfare of their members, their families, and the local community on social media.",
