"account": "Doug McCallum is set to reclaim the Surrey mayor's office following Brenda Locke's concession. Locke, the incumbent mayor, addressed the crowd before the polls closed, expressing her gratitude to the city's residents. \"The voters have truly spoken,\" she stated, \"I want to wish them every success as they take on the responsibility of leading our most incredible city of Surrey. Surrey deserves our full support; there is no doubt.\" Locke also thanked her team for their dedication, acknowledging that four years ago, the people of Surrey had honored her by electing her as mayor. This privilege, she noted, was the \"privilege of a lifetime.\" She highlighted the progress made in Surrey over the past four years, including advancements in housing, infrastructure, public safety, and the growth of city facilities. To every resident who placed their trust in her, Locke expressed deep gratitude. McCallum, who served as Surrey's mayor for 13 years before losing to Locke in 2022, ran for re-election under the slogan 'Doug Gets it Done.' His projected victory appears to have been achieved.",
