"account": "On Saturday night, police in Kolkata detained 12 people, including the organizers of Chor Bagan Durga Puja, following a stampede that killed nearly 20 people. The death toll was reported at 17 by the state's Chief Minister, with 25 injured, while Indian media claimed at least 19 people had died. The detentions followed a promise by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to take strict action against those who failed to maintain crowd safety. An independent investigation by a sitting judge of the city's high court was announced, and the West Bengal government will check the footage and impose penalties as needed. The incident has put pressure on the authorities to ensure the safety of the city's biggest annual festival, which is often marred by deadly crowd incidents due to poor management and safety lapses.",
