"account": "John Beake, a former executive with the Denver Broncos who played a pivotal role in securing John Elway through a trade with the Baltimore Colts, has passed away at the age of 87, according to a statement from the team. The Broncos expressed their sorrow over the loss of a longtime executive who made a lasting impact during more than two decades with the organization. Throughout his tenure, Beake was instrumental in guiding the Broncos to five Super Bowl appearances, including two consecutive titles in the late 1990s. He joined the team in 1979, serving in various personnel roles before becoming general manager in 1983. Beake's talent for talent acquisition was evident when he orchestrated the trade for Elway, who went on to become a Hall of Famer and secure multiple Super Bowl victories. After leaving his role as general manager, Beake took on the position of vice president of administration before eventually joining the NFL's league office as vice president of player development and managing director of NFL Europe.",
