"summary": "Hong Kong is set to host the Apec Finance Ministers’ Meeting from October 20 to 21, with Beijing deliberately choosing the city to elevate its status as an international financial centre. The summit, which will be attended by finance chiefs and senior officials from the 21 member economies, aims to showcase Hong Kong's role as a safe harbour amid geopolitical tensions. Analysts point out that the city currently handles a significant portion of global renminbi payments and offshore yuan lending, further bolstering its standing in the financial world. The meeting, themed \"Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together,\" underscores the importance of regional cooperation in the face of global challenges.",
