"account": "In the early hours of Saturday, gunmen attacked the Uratta Police Station in Aba, Abia State, resulting in the deaths of two police officers and injuries to three others. The attack, which began around 2 am, caused significant damage to the facility and vehicles, with some areas set ablaze. The assailants reportedly targeted the police armoury but found it empty. Some police uniforms were allegedly taken during the assault. One gunman was reportedly shot and later taken away by his companions. Police Commissioner Wilfred Afolabi confirmed the fatalities and injuries while inspecting the scene with Governor Alex Otti. The injured, including a civilian, are being treated at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital in Aba. Police Commissioner Afolabi stated that the immediate priority was identifying and arresting those responsible for the attack. He assured residents that the police would pursue the attackers and bring them to justice. The governor visited the injured victims at the hospital. This incident has reignited concerns over attacks on police facilities in the area. On February 23, 2021, a similar attack on the same Uratta Police Station resulted in the death of a police sergeant and the burning of a state government-provided patrol vehicle. As of Saturday, no arrests had been made in connection with the latest attack.",
