"summary": "Clive Barker has expressed interest in returning to the Hellraiser franchise following the release of the survival horror video game Hellraiser: Revival. Developed in collaboration with Barker and published by Saber Interactive, the game has been noted by The A.V. Club for its extreme gore and sexual themes. Barker told Dread Central that the game's reception acted as a \"wake-up call\" for creatives, prompting him to consider new ideas for the universe.\n\nBarker, who wrote and directed the original 1987 film, previously received a story credit for the 1988 sequel Hellbound: Hellraiser II and served as an executive producer on sequels through 1996's Hellraiser: Bloodline. According to The A.V. Club, Barker has alleged that several subsequent films were produced primarily to retain franchise rights, which he claims were used as creative leverage against him. He stated that he intends to \"keep my fingers in that pie\" regarding future developments in the franchise.",
