"summary": "The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Mining Marshals have refuted claims of involvement in a fatal operation in Minna, Niger State, on September 16. Assistant Commandant of Corps, John Onoja Attah, stated that the suspended state commandant, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, lacked the authority to deploy Mining Marshals personnel. Attah further clarified that the Mining Marshals operate exclusively from the national headquarters under the direct command of the Commandant-General, and have no affiliation with state commands. The controversy stems from allegations made by Aniviye, who claimed he visited the mining site the day before the incident and deployed Mining Marshals operatives. However, these claims have been dismissed as false and misleading. The ongoing investigation by the Justice Mohammed Mohammed Commission of Inquiry will further clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and the conduct of security personnel involved.",
