"account": "Michigan relieved its multimillion-dollar quarterback, Bryce Underwood, following a poor first half against Penn State. Underwood, a sophomore, threw two interceptions during the half, forcing the team to switch to freshman Tommy Carr. Carr, the younger brother of Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr, led Michigan to a 14-3 lead with 1:34 remaining in the third quarter. Underwood's benching occurred amid a season marred by struggles under first-year coach Kyle Whittingham, who inherited a quarterback who completed only 59 percent of his passes, had only six touchdowns, and six turnovers (four interceptions and two fumbles). Whittingham addressed the issue at halftime, emphasizing the need to improve the offensive performance. Underwood, a high-profile recruit, attracted significant attention due to a substantial NIL deal funded by billionaire Larry Ellison. The deal, valued at $10 million over four years, significantly surpassed LSU's offer of $1.5 million annually. The NCAA valuation of Underwood's NIL rights now stands at $3 million, ranking him among the top 10% of college football players.",
