"account": "US Ambassador Mike Huckabee demanded that Israel prosecute and jail those responsible for the attack on Washington Post journalist Heidi Levine in the West Bank. Speaking on X, Huckabee described the attack as a \"despicable act of terror carried out by masked cowards.\" While Huckabee is a supporter of Israel, he criticized settler attacks against Americans more forcefully than the U.S. government's previous statements. The identity of the attackers remains unclear, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attempted to cast doubt on their identity. The U.S. has called for a full investigation and prosecution of all those involved in the attack. Heidi Levine, the victim, was hospitalized with broken vertebrae after being beaten by settlers who stole her passport, telephone, wallet, and equipment. She was covering Palestinians' annual olive harvest, which has frequently been disrupted by Israeli settlers. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu suggested that Palestinians or far-left activists might be responsible for the attack. On Friday, the U.S. State Department condemned the violence directed at Levine, stating that it condemns \"criminal violence by any party.\"",
