"account": "Comedian Scott Thompson, known professionally as Carrot Top, has spoken out regarding his suicide attempt that occurred nearly a month ago. The 61-year-old made his announcement on Instagram, expressing his gratitude for the support he's received during this difficult time. Thompson's representative shared that he is currently receiving care and support in the hospital, asking for privacy while he recovers. The comedian plans to return to his Las Vegas residency at the Luxor Hotel & Casino on Monday, October 19th, a show he's performed at since 2005. Thompson's representative declined to provide a reason for the suicide attempt, maintaining that the comedian and his family are grateful for the outpouring of love and support they've received. Thompson's comedic style is characterized by his over-the-top prop comedy, vibrant red hair, and long-standing presence in the Las Vegas entertainment scene. He first gained recognition in 1991 through his appearances on \"Comic Strip Live\" and \"Star Search.\" Thompson has since made numerous appearances in various TV shows and specials, including \"Scrubs,\" \"Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular,\" \"Space Ghost Coast to Coast,\" \"Reno 911!\" and \"George Lopez.\" If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is available 24/7 by calling or texting 988 or chatting at 988lifeline.org.",
