"account": "Government has appointed artificial intelligence (AI) focal persons across all ministries to drive national strategy, according to Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George. This move is part of the government's efforts to prepare public institutions for the adoption of AI technology. Cabinet ministers have already undergone AI training, and preparations are underway to equip senior civil servants with the necessary skills to integrate AI into government operations. The government has also conducted an AI readiness assessment in collaboration with UNESCO to determine the preparedness of government institutions to adopt AI technology. The findings from this assessment will help identify ministries and agencies requiring additional investment, technical support, and capacity-building before introducing AI into their operations. The initiative is aligned with Ghana's broader national AI strategy aimed at improving economic productivity, strengthening public services, and expanding access to essential services. The second episode of the Digital Economy Forum, under the theme \"AI and the Ghana Economy: Opportunity or Disruption?\", will discuss the impact of AI on the Ghana economy, featuring Sam George, Dr Theo Acheampong, Adam Watkins, Augustine Adjei, and Bright Simons.",
