"account": "The Washington Capitals defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-2 on Saturday afternoon, led by Ryan Leonard's highlight-reel goal. Additional goals came from Ilya Protas, Dylan Strome, and Boone Jenner, while Vincent Desharnais added two assists for the Capitals. Arsenal Gritsyuk and Timo Meier scored for the Devils, who suffered their first loss of the season. The Devils opened the scoring early in the first period through traffic at the end of New Jersey's second power play. Leonard evened the score with a spectacular goal in the final seconds of the first, changing the momentum. The Capitals capitalized on a power play with back-to-back goals to take a 2-1 lead in the second period. With 4 minutes, 46 seconds remaining in the second, Protas added a cross-zone goal, and Strome finished a passing play to extend the lead to 4-1. Jenner added a fourth goal of the season, making it 4-1 heading into the third. New Jersey pushed hard in the third, but Thompson made 29 saves on 31 shots, securing the win for the Capitals. Allen had 21 saves in the loss for New Jersey. The Capitals will host the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, while the Devils return home to face the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.",
