"account": "The Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) has withdrawn its endorsement of Taraba State Governorship candidate Aboki Bayonga’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 presidential election. The party stated that it has not authorised any such endorsement and summoned Bayonga to appear before its Disciplinary Committee to address the issue. Bayonga had declared his support for Tinubu at a forum of DLA candidates on October 16. DLA Chairman Samuel Memeh emphasized the party’s commitment to its values and warned that any conduct contradicting its constitution or directives would be dealt with strictly. He urged members and candidates to focus on the party’s ideology and prepare for the 2027 elections, urging them not to draw premature conclusions regarding the incident while the disciplinary process is ongoing.",
