"account": "Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank attacked European diplomats and local officials, according to Belgium's Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot. The attack targeted a Belgian consul general, French and Polish diplomats, as well as a French mayor. The Belgian vehicle was also damaged in the incident. Israeli police have launched an investigation into the alleged assault on the diplomats. Israeli military officials stated that they were not aware of the visit and had no soldiers present. Witnesses reported that settlers surrounded a diplomatic vehicle, demanded identification, and smashed a window. The 78-year-old mayor of Aulnoye-Aymeries, Bernard Baudoux, was reportedly beaten by the settlers but did not require hospitalization. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar condemned the violence, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has capitalized on the situation during his election campaign. The West Bank has seen a particularly violent olive harvest season, with settlers attempting to prevent Palestinians from harvesting their crops through force.",
