"summary": "Steve Hamilton, 71, was killed on Friday during a rare animal attack while fishing at a pond in Winter Garden, Florida. According to The Guardian US, Hamilton was on the shoreline when a nearly 12-foot alligator dragged him into the water. CBS News reports the attack occurred at approximately 5 p.m. in Dr. Bradford Memorial Park, an area containing several small ponds connected to Lake Apopka.\n\nThe Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission stated that an 11-foot, 8-inch alligator was trapped and removed from the scene. Winter Garden Police Capt. Michael Mason noted that seeing alligators in this part of town is not uncommon, as Lake Apopka contains many of the animals.\n\nHamilton is the second person killed by an alligator in Florida this year. CBS News reports that 31-year-old Brittany Clark was killed in June while swimming in Little Big Econ State Forest near Orlando.",
