"account": "Florida quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. will make his first career start against No. 6 Texas on Saturday, Oct. 17. The sophomore quarterback has seen limited action this season, completing 23 of 29 passes for 252 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Tramell Jones Jr. battled for the starting job despite having a new head coach, but was ultimately beaten out by Georgia Tech transfer Aaron Philo, who missed the upcoming game with a shoulder injury. Jones Jr. was Florida's No. 2 quarterback for the 2025 season as a freshman, and was the team's leading passer in 2023 as a freshman. The Mandarin High School product recorded 3,195 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a senior, leading his team to the Class 4M state championship. Tramell Jones Jr. was originally a Florida State commit but switched to Florida after the Gators' victory over LSU last season. He was the longest tenured member of the Florida Class of 2025 and was ranked No. 21 among quarterbacks in the 2025 cycle by both On3 and 247sports. Tramell Jones Jr. was also an Elite 11 finalist, a nationally recognized camp and competition for some of the country's top high school quarterbacks.",
