"account": "Elche is continuing restoration work on the historic Arab Baths at Plaza Menendez Pelayo, with construction now entering a crucial stage. Specialist foundation work is underway, focusing on protecting the archaeological remains while allowing them to become part of a future museum space. Meanwhile, the Central Market redevelopment continues, with new roof panels being installed. The foundation stage for the bath structure will see machinery conduct excavations and install micropiles up to 11 metres deep, chosen to minimize impact on the remains. Once complete, walls and a roof will be constructed, recreating the architectural features of historic Arab baths. The finished building will feature vaulted ceilings for the hot, warm, and cold rooms, as well as flat roofs with central skylights for other areas. This project builds upon recent archaeological work, aiming to integrate the remains into a museum space within the Central Market redevelopment. Additionally, the market building itself is undergoing renovations, with glass panels now being installed on its roof. The combined efforts will bring the archaeological remains into the redeveloped Central Market area, preserving Elche's history while contributing to the site's overall transformation.",
