"account": "Alexander Zverev, the current world number two, expressed that he overachieved by advancing to the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters, despite being fatigued due to an intense competition schedule. The top seed from Germany was defeated by Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, a Spaniard who had only won two matches against Zverev in the past eight encounters. Zverev, who is expected to finish the season as world number one, acknowledged that he played a significant number of tournaments, including the US Open, Laver Cup, Beijing Masters, and Shanghai, which left him little time to rest. He admitted to feeling the effects of fatigue and injury during the tournament. Davidovich Fokina prevailed 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, advancing to his first ATP Masters 1000 final since 2022. Zverev attributed his downfall to being \"flat\" and struggling with energy since his third-round match against Alexander Bublik.",
