"account": "Nollywood, Nigeria's thriving cinema industry, is on track for another record-breaking year in 2026, with projected box office revenue exceeding N20 billion by year-end. This represents a significant 28% increase from the N15.6 billion generated in 2025. The growth is attributed to stronger local films, higher average ticket prices, and a shift away from the traditional December release window. Among the producers driving this success are Blessing Uzzi, Chris Odeh, Timini Egbuson, Iren, and Iyabo Ojo. Uzzi's romantic comedy \"Call of My Life\" became the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2026, breaking the N600 million barrier and holding the top spot for six consecutive weekends. Odeh's faith-based production \"Agbara Nla: The Return\" set a new record for the biggest non-December Nollywood opening, earning N170.6 million in its initial run. Egbuson's romantic drama \"Love and New Notes\" shattered box office expectations, becoming the first Nollywood film to debut over N100 million outside the December holiday season and generating a staggering N48 million in a single day during its opening weekend.",
