"account": "Karathik, 32, has been sentenced to death by hanging by a special court in Mysuru for the rape and murder of a minor girl during the Dasara festivities in 2025. The victim, a nine-year-old girl, belonged to a family from Kalaburagi who had come to Mysuru to sell balloons and toys during the festival. The family had set up makeshift tents near Doddakere Maidan and slept there. After the girl went missing, her body was found near the same location. Karathik was arrested and convicted based on digital, medical, and circumstantial evidence. The Special Public Prosecutor, K.B. Jayanthi, expressed satisfaction with the verdict, stating that it brought justice to the victim's family. She hoped the ruling would serve as a warning to those who commit such crimes.",
