"account": "Pope Leo XIV is set to leave the Rome hospital on Saturday where he has been recuperating following lung cancer surgery, according to the Vatican. The 71-year-old pontiff has been at the Gemelli hospital adjacent to the Vatican since Tuesday, where surgeons removed a portion of his right lung to extract a malignant tumor. Following blood tests, a chest X-ray, and a review of his clinical condition, medical professionals Luigi Carbone and Stefano Margaritora concluded that Pope Leo is fit for discharge. The Holy Father is scheduled to depart the Gemelli Polyclinic in the early afternoon and return to the Vatican. Tomorrow, in what is a customary routine, Pope Leo will deliver the Angelus prayer from the window of his papal apartment, a gesture typically performed by the pontiff from the Apostolic Palace's window, although former popes John Paul II and Francis have also conducted the prayer from their hospital windows after similar operations. The news of Pope Leo's successful surgery and impending discharge has been reported as significant papal health update by Gulf News.",
