"account": "KUALA LUMPUR, October 17 — The Parti Bersama Malaysia has imposed a three-month suspension on Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, effective October 20, for his actions related to an incident with the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) on October 15. Nik Nazmi acknowledged his involvement in the incident and issued a public apology to his wife, family, and party members. Bersama officials emphasized that they take such leadership and member issues seriously to maintain the party's integrity, credibility, and public confidence. Syukri Razab, speaking on behalf of the party, stated that the suspension, lasting until January 19, 2027, was deemed necessary and reasonable.
