"account": "President John Dramani Mahama praised Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their efforts in securing Ghana's re-election to the United Nations Human Rights Council. At the commissioning of new ambassadors in Accra, Mahama emphasized that the re-election for the 2027-2029 term placed an increased responsibility on Ghana to contribute effectively and purposefully. The President expects Ghana's mission in Geneva to utilize the trust bestowed upon it to make a meaningful impact on the council. Ghana secured joint second place globally with Kuwait and Nepal, receiving 173 votes out of 181 valid ballots. President Mahama urged the country's Permanent Representative-designate, Jedidiah Reuben Adogla, to ensure Ghana's engagement consistently upholds international law and protection of civilians. He also tasked Adogla to articulate Ghana's positions on public health, trade, labor, and human rights with sustained engagement with other delegations.",
