"account": "Pumas secured a crucial win, defeating Atlante 2-1 in a lively Liga MX Apertura tournament match at the Ciudad de los Deportes stadium in Mexico City on October 16, 2026. The team, led by Brazilian forward #23 Juninho Vieira, overcame defensive errors to climb to 9th place in the standings. The first half saw Pumas take an early lead, with Juninho Vieira volleying the ball past Atlante's goalkeeper, Oscar Jimenez. Despite Atlante's protests leading to referee issuing a red card to coach Miguel Herrera, the match remained competitive. Pumas equalized through Luis Calzadilla, who capitalized on a defensive lapse. Pumas maintained their lead in the second half, with several near-misses from Atlante. With this victory, Pumas demonstrated resilience and offensive prowess, while acknowledging room for improvement in defense. The team will continue their road journey with an upcoming match against Santos Laguna in Torreon, while Atlante will face FC Juarez in their first-ever Liga MX encounter in Ciudad Juarez.",
