"account": "At least six high-end homes have been destroyed by rapidly spreading wildfires along California's southern coast, forcing thousands to flee their homes. The Orange County Fire Authority reported that the Norte fire had burned approximately 465 acres (188 hectares) and caused at least four properties to suffer in the prosperous city of San Juan Capistrano. Billowing black smoke from the flames could be seen for miles as firefighters battled the fast-moving blaze. Aggressive ground and aerial efforts were made to contain the fire, with firefighters repeatedly urging residents to stay away from the area. The Norte fire ignited in San Clemente and was propelled into San Juan Capistrano by strong winds. The National Weather Service warned of an elevated risk for significant and rapid fires, particularly in Los Angeles, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties, as well as the surrounding mountains and foothills. The intense Santa Ana winds, low humidity, and unusually high temperatures have exacerbated the wildfires. Wind gusts of up to 50-70 miles per hour were recorded in the mountains, with coastal and valley areas experiencing gusts between 35 and 55 miles per hour. Authorities have disconnected the electricity supply to minimize the risk of electrical sparks carried by the strong winds, leaving thousands without power.",
