Bishop, who had previously lost to Carmouche, displayed remarkable determination to secure the win. After enduring early adversity, Bishop rallied in the second and third rounds, ultimately taking Carmouche's back in the final round to force a submission. Following the main event, Bishop faced Dakota Ditcheva, who had been cleared to return to full contact training following a hand injury. Ditcheva expressed her desire to challenge Bishop for the belt in February or March.
