"account": "Veteran Tamil actor Rajinikanth reprises his role as former jailer 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian in Kollywood's latest blockbuster, \"Jailer 2.\" Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel showcases the superstar alongside musical genius Anirudh and a star-studded cast including Yogi Babu, Namo Narayana, SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, and Mithun Chakraborty. The film picks up several months after the first installment, with 'Tiger' Muthuvel now a lowly supermarket supervisor, unaware that dangerous forces are hunting him. The action sequences, characterized by Rajini's signature displays of star power, are praised for being goosebump-inducing, yet some audience members might question the narrative's logic and pacing. While Vidya Balan's portrayal of Kantha brings a calculated menace to the screen, the overly lengthy Muthuvel-Moorthi subplot and the shift to larger-than-life antagonists could have been trimmed for a tighter narrative. Nonetheless, Anirudh's pulsating score and Rajinikanth's charisma keep fans engaged, ensuring \"Jailer 2\" remains an entertaining, if somewhat overstuffed, sequel.",
"summary": "‘Jailer 2’ is an entertaining follow-up to Nelson Dilipkumar’s 2023 action thriller, but suffers from a bloated narrative.",
