"account": "Diablo Cody has revealed that the sequel to her 2009 horror comedy \"Jennifer's Body\" is in the works and will be released \"imminently.\" In a recent interview on the \"Petticoat Revolution\" podcast, Cody expressed her sympathy for the character of Jennifer, a high school cheerleader turned possessed succubus. She emphasized that Jennifer is portrayed as isolated, lonely, and insecure, even before her transformation. Cody praised Megan Fox's performance, stating that she portrayed both sides of Jennifer's character brilliantly. The sequel will delve deeper into Jennifer's background, exploring her loneliness and poignancy, which were not always recognized by audiences. Cody's update follows Amanda Seyfried's hints earlier this year that a sequel was being planned. Seyfried, who played Anita \"Needy\" Lesnicki in the original film, co-starred in the movie alongside Fox and has expressed her excitement about the potential for a sequel.",
