"account": "Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense firm, plans to establish its first European production and maintenance center for laser warning systems in Sweden. The new facility, set to become operational in 2027, will provide local assembly, maintenance, and technical support for laser warning systems delivered to European customers. This move is part of Elbit Systems' strategy to expand its European manufacturing presence and support NATO member states' defense needs. The facility will focus on next-generation passive laser warning systems, which detect and locate laser threats quickly, giving military crews more time to take protective measures. Sweden, already home to Elbit Systems Sweden, will become a crucial hub for the company's European defense operations. The initiative comes as European countries increase defense spending due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and pressure from the US for NATO allies to boost military expenditure.",
